Good morning, fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT, 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same. Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

26 days in and I think this is where some of the actual recovery is starting. I feel horrible, like I had one too many last night. But usually in these cases my eczema would also be flaring up but my skin, especially in the face, feels better than it has in a while.

I still feel like I won’t stop drinking altogether but if I feel a lot better in a week or two I have some serious thinking to do.

Hold on to it, it’s getting better! Your liver is just starting to get a grip.

I started on New Year’s too. I’m better, guilt has kicked in heavily, but I hope I can wait it out.

Great job! The first 3-4 weeks is always the hardest. In my experience, trying to moderate or slow down would work for a bit but the frequency would always start to creep back up so I decided stopping for good is more sustainable.
