It’s absolutely AI bullshit. Look at the dash in the second paragraph. That’s not a - that’s standard on keyboards, that’s a emdash, which is mostly used in the books that LLMs trained on.

If you use a real computer, making an em dash is trivially easy in Outlook and Word. Many people probably do it without knowing what it’s called.
You shouldn’t assume that one character is definitive proof.
On both the Android and iOS stock keyboards, you can just hold the hyphen key to get other dashes, too. You don’t need to go hunting for it.
