The person I replied to was effectively saying those people will never face justice. I am saying that if enough people say that out loud, it’s actually causing it to be true.

I realize that yet the good news people that demand we not be honest so they can continue to try and help are utilized by those hostile to changing anything for the better. It’s a function of not having any leadership, of fighting under controlled opposition, and being divided and perverted at every turn I’m afraid. Nothing for it until we get organized and some real leadership.

But we can at least try, as you say. Like I know I am not going to get a winnable slate of popular reformists in 2028, that the republicans will win, especially with their cheating, and by then the fix will be put in beyond recovery. It may be too late already. Or 2024, when an unpopular sell out was anointed with 4 plus months to go without challenge, whose approval never breached 30% all term, and ran as status quo under a president at 40% approval for 3 years, that accomplished zero real reform, (unless you count shoveling money to donors as reform, which it’s not,) didn’t try to reform. But I tried anyway to get winnable candidates, tried to get Newsom or Pritzker to stand up and take the top job. They both decided to wait their turn, and now they can’t win, and we need a new candidate, if they were leaders they would’ve taken the job.

Zero challenges for any leadership, house and senate have undisputed leaders despite both parties in congress ranking about as popular as syphillis. Something is broken in the democratic party, the donors have made sure we are saddled with weak candidates that won’t revoke the license granted continually to the rich to take more from everyone else.

All of that to say, the good news people are tooled to prevent acknowledgement of the democratic leadership being unable to win elections, and unwilling to do anything with it if they do. Even in the face of a fascist kakistocracy openly planning on killing the republic in all but name, preventing such the first duty of a political party. Yet acknowledging the situation is “pessimistic,” and blamed for their candidates losing, as if we didn’t already know what the electorate is and what they will vote for generally.

We are tooled every which way, because we are not organized, and they are. Numerous other groups are organized, and they make sure we aren’t, are at each other’s throats, and to kill any popular reform in the cradle. Even now, at the dawn of an unthinkable fate. Popular reform is the enemy to those we fight under, dooming us to the fake popular reform of the Right seeking to fix elections permanently, in a very violent genocidey sort of way at that. You know it’s bad, but it’s worse than that.
