On Tuesday, students and community leaders at University of South Carolina announced their support for the Jan. 30 nationwide shutdown. To coincide with the strike, USC students will walk out of class Friday afternoon. After the killing of Alex Pretti by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis, support for an anti-ICE expanded strike has gained national attention.
