I happened upon a large flock of corvid gathering on a nearby roof. In the moment I thought to experiment with a long exposure shot to capture those in flight circling above.

    This is an excellent picture.

I like it so much that it now resides in my wallpapers directory. Hope you don’t mind :-)

    That is really cool!

I took video the other day off a huge flock by our house. It’s 16 minutes long and there are birds everywhere. I love it when they stop by, especially the sound they make when a large group takes off at once - “whoosh”.

I’m grown to hate them honestly: since weeks, bigger and bigger flocks dominate the skies around my home, going tree to tree like locusts. I bet they are the reason why I don’t see many other birds around - but I might be wrong and don’t know anything about seasonal and avian fauna behaviors…

    I like it. That’s awesome
Don’t how long it was, but cutting it by half might have been better. Maybe not. I don’t know. I’d have to see it.

The exposure time was 1/3s. They’ve been doing this every evening lately so I may go out again and experiment with different exposure lengths. If I do I’ll be sure to share the result.
