hello, I’m going camping for the first time this upcoming summer, what would you recommend i take/ pack? Please let me know, it would mean a lot to me to get some help from experts! Thanks :)

    1. What kind of environment?

    2. What weather is forecast for the site/area?

    3. For how long? (How many days & nights?)

    4. How far from the vehicle/facilities? (If any)

    5. What’s the route like to/from the site? Hiking req’d or is it a pull-up campsite?

    6. With how many others, and what experience level do they have w/ camping in similar situations?

    7. What, if anything, will they be sharing?

    8. Have you asked this question of others in the group that are experienced?

    9. What recreation is your group looking forward to? Fishing, birding, etc., or just turtling and telling your normal reality to GTFO for a little while?

    11. Leave the area better than it was when you arrived.

    12. Don’t photograph snow leopards from arms-length. 🫣
