Where is this data from, and does this include all years, or just 2025/2026 models?

I was doing a bunch of research between Mazda and Toyota recently and I found out that they share engine / drive train tech. I know Mazda used to have a bad reputation, but I think it’s a lot better now

Also, how is BMW in 5th? lol

Mazda was under the Ford umbrella for a while. That definitely contributed to the unreliable reputation.

BMW’s current B48 and B58 engines are some or the best they’ve ever made in their history. They’re quite reliable and make a very good amount of power. Even Toyota uses the B58 in the Supra. The ZF transmissions are also quite mature and robust. They really improved a lot.

Oh? I’m unfamiliar with Mazda unreliability, I have a 2015 Mazda 6, do you know if that’s in the range of unreliable? It’s been fine so far for 70,000 miles
