Police work is less dangerous than delivering pizzas in America but you don’t see Domino’s drivers strapped up with one hand on their gun when knocking on doors - yet police get away with this because in their mind everyone is a criminal out to get them, and not a member of their community that they swore to protect.

You’re not wrong, but tons of pizza drivers are strapped, even when policy says they’re not allowed to. Better to lose your job than lose your life.
