For rings, for plain colored ones, unfortunately Amazon or similar is your best bet. The in-person jewelers will sell a plain gold ring for something crazy like 800. And then it will be 100 online.
I personally went with one of the metals -like silver but another metal. - I forgot which. It looks good and cheap enough I bought an extra in case I lose mine.
Don’t get titanium - cutting it off can be a bad time.
