And at the same time, it’s also in our nature to build alliances, of which the evolved form is a nation. Difficult topic. Looks like human can only live either ignorant in somewhat isolated groups or highly educated in nation states. In which we constantly have to fight against derailing them. Edit: this in the assumption, that our fallback is always vertical organization.
