There is a lot of evidence of Chinese exerting their influence in the USA. They directly and openly supported Trump via TikTok, they frequently run social media psyops and botnets (with zero subtlety, too), and they frequently are the source of cyberattacks on US industries and outlets.
And this is different from the USA peddling and forcing their stuff down everybody’s throat because?
I should also point out that none of that “influence” would have been effective if the USA had a working government that did do everything possible to keep its own people poor, sick and uneducated
