Can confirm, I own a 1964 Websters Dictionary, and it defines Fascism as

A totalitarian form of government in Italy administered by the Fascisti (A political organization) which advocated the building of a highly nationalistic state, recognizing private ownership except when he state determined otherwise.

I have a Webster Dictionary from the 70s.

“A philosophy and political movement of extreme nationalism, militaristic imperialism, suppression of civil rights, and opposition to democratic social progress, expressed through the efforts of a fanatic minority to seize complete political power.”

Now I want Webster to put all their revisions up so we can see how a language dances. I’ve always loved etymology and the history of words, and think it’s important to examine historical documents with understanding of how the usage of a word may or may not have changed over time.

On the other hand, semantic arguments online are bad enough as they are now. Hmm.
