President Trump fired Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and said GOP Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma would replace her.

Noem “will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida,” Trump posted on social media. “I thank Kristi for her service at ‘Homeland.’”

Noem is the first cabinet secretary to leave the Trump administration in the second term. The announcement comes after Noem spent two days being grilled by lawmakers in Congress over her leadership.

she’ll still pull a(n even bigger) salary and keep her benefits, they did this during his first term plenty.

it’s essentially a pay-off, she’s too high-profile to assassinate now and they want to keep her from doing a tell all

It sounds like they’re making up a new position. It sounds like this phony agency is supposed to be the DHS but for North and South America.

Because, you know, they’re called America, so clearly it all belongs to the United States… /s

And Turnip doesn’t have the authority to go to war with Iran, but he did anyways, so your point is?
