President Trump fired Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and said GOP Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma would replace her.
Noem “will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida,” Trump posted on social media. “I thank Kristi for her service at ‘Homeland.’”
Noem is the first cabinet secretary to leave the Trump administration in the second term. The announcement comes after Noem spent two days being grilled by lawmakers in Congress over her leadership.
This “Shield of the Americas” thing that apparently the very NOT FIRED please don’t tell people i was fired-Noem is being shunted into is gonna be just another Greenland-esque bullshit attempt to push and bully every sovereign nation across two continents. And with her involved, everybody brace yourself because it’s gonna get stupider, more insulting, and more aggressive. Like yeah, better get this woman involved in international diplomacy because she and her boyfriend/side piece did such a fucking normal job of domestic affairs… ಠ_ಠ
