this is an impossible question. mmbn has unique gameplay and a grassroots pvp scene. mmz is the mega man 2d platforming formula perfected.

But betwee those two, I like Battle Network better (but wish it didn’t have random battles).
As polished as Zero is, it is kinda just another Mega Man platformer. Some variations on the formula to set this subseries apart, but if you’ve played other subseries you know the core formula.
Whereas what made Battle Network so special is that it was a completely unique kind of game that was never seen before, and we still haven’t really seen anything like it since.
Zero. Easily my favorite MegaMan series. Great controls, art, music, story.

Zero if those are only options. Zero gave exactly what was wanted. A tough Zero focused adventure.
Each game expanded on the last one. Story is decent and just a fun game to play.
