In the practice within the first five minutes, both Gasly and Hamilton went off because their brakes locked up without any reason. Especially Hamilton was clear to see as he was on a straight. Both McLarens have random snaps as confirmed by the radio messages. Colapento also went straight because the car decided this was the best option. It seems like there are too many controls in the car that make it almost impossible to predict what will happen. As a driver, I would be more cautious because it feels like the car is controlling you instead of the driver controlling the car. Bizar stuff.

Am I alone in thinking this is exactly what I thought people wanted? Sure, there are issues with the regs that need to be sorted out, and I don’t think any of us like seeing cars slow down at the end of the straight. But the fact that it’s so much harder on the drivers is fantastic. These are F1 drivers, they’re supposed to be the best of the best. I don’t want to see them drive a very simple car to the limit, anyone can do that. I want to see them drive a computer to the limit while riding a unicycle and juggling flaming swords.
