It’s because there is “friction” and the part of the circle touching the line can’t move relative to it, and so you get that “cusp” shape. Maybe someone else can give a better explanation, I haven’t had any coffee yet.

Tricky, right?
It’s because there is “friction” and the part of the circle touching the line can’t move relative to it, and so you get that “cusp” shape.
