I made up a thought experiment in my teens:

If someone made noteriety by placing remote triggered explosives in multiple victim’s bedrooms, and set them off at exactly the same moment, would they become known as a parallel killer?

I mean yeah in a crude sense.

But serial killer tours are booming, there’s like 5 different jack the ripper tour companies in London.

Like it or not, people appreciate the craft. Plus the most successful serial killers in history can’t hold a candle to a lot of capitalists that get puff pieces in Forbes killing their customers to increase profit. And don’t get me started on governments.

Serial killers are amateurs when it comes to mass murder. Rookie numbers. US schoolchildren have proven to be as good as the best of them by the numbers.

Serial killers are more like hipster artisinal murder craftsmen that want you to appreciate the intricacies of their methods.
