Not only should you vote, but be aware of:

    • what kind of candidate you are voting for, such as their prior history (we don’t vote by political party in Ontario)
    • what policies they endorse (and don’t endorse)
    • whether policies are actually good for Ontario

Does anyone know any (unbiased) sites that summarize the party platforms?

Not necessarily unbiased but should be journalistic. There are others too, I’m sure.

      • CBC https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/features/2025/ontario-party-platforms/
      • Green Line https://thegreenline.to/guide/ontario-elections-2025-party-platforms/

From what I have heard, none of the parties aside from the Greens even have a platform. Even their websites are pretty bare this late into the election.

It might be late, but the Liberals & NDP have released full platforms https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ndp-liberals-costed-platforms-ontario-election-1.7465014

Just saw a Steve Boots video summarizing all the parties’ positions.

Though amusingly, the Cons don’t have anything even now. You can just feel the contempt they have for democracy as a whole when they throw a snap election, but then hardly participate while breaking election rules.

Piling on here with a recently released cbc article noting that Doug Ford wants to be premier “forever”, it’s ominous in tone with the current state of affairs in the states.
