Denuvo’s an invasive DRM implementation software that constantly checks your files as you play to make sure your copy is “legit”. It’s well known to cause performance issues with several games losing about 10 FPS while running. Games that are cracked and have it removed run far better in fact. Denuvo’s just a way to punish paying customers as a means to protect against piracy. I’m not even sure you can fully uninstall Denuvo even after uninstalling the game.
