This is a real thing I do. It feels weird if the weight of the carton isn’t evenly balanced when I take it from the fridge.
Why would you ever want your eggs to be asymmetrical if you could help it? Eggs are fragile and symmetry promotes greater carton balance
If there is one thing that seemed useless in school that actually is useful in every day life, it’s learning how to engineer a thing so you can drop an egg without breaking the egg.
To be fair, even weight distribution will lessen the chances for someone grabbing the empty end and having the heavy end droop the carton causing eggs to fall on the floor (this is a lessons learned) 🥚
oh shit… i do the same thing 😭😭
The only correct way to remove eggs, duh
TIL: I have autism.
What if you only wanted one egg?
Me: sorry, that’s just not possible.
Fuck. I sorta do this. Not our of some need for symmetry, but so it’s center of gravity is as close to the center of the carton as possible. Dropping eggs sucks.
Maybe I’m not autistic enough… But what do you do when there’s an odd number of eggs left?
There are not an odd number of eggs.
