These are people who are compulsively attached to their cars like a comfort blanket because they’ve literally spent decades never going anywhere which doesn’t involve being near their car. Like, they will drive to the airport, get on an airplane, and then rent a surrogate car the moment they land.
When they break about their fourth they go “we got to drive right up on the beach!” It sounds cool, and image is all they care about.
