No they are remaking the building exterior so they put up a scaffolding, hidden behind the add and fake windows. It’s a common practice in Paris, though there are talks of banning the adds to reduce visual pollution

I’m staying with my boyfriend because of his dog. Am I horrible?

Is there a Parisian who doesn’t do rock climbing, Pilates, or ceramics?

I’m going to the Maldives but I’m composting, does that make up for it?

Just between you and me, who’s ever bought fruit on the metro?

So, what do we do with the people on the wrong side of the escalator?

Has anyone ever found the exit at Chatelet, or is that a myth?

Not only in Paris. Saw some of them in Marseille too. At first I thought it was some kind of “anti-ad” joke, where someone was giving them a bad rep because of how stupid it looked.

Guess it was not a joke.

Is France making an effort to untether itself from US tech companies like some other parts of Europe are?

Maybe they shouldn’t have permabanned thousands of active users like me, with a 12 year account and nearly 1 million Karma. People like me built Reddit, and as soon as HitlerPig was inaugurated, the DOGE Goblin demanded that Reddit purge its membership. Now they’re stuck with bots, novelty accounts, punsters, Russian Propaganda Farmers, MAGA activists, etc.

Not OP, but the story is the same. Personally I said something bad about Elon. I don’t remember what but it didn’t break their rules.

The problem is they delete the “offending comment” and don’t tell you what it was and don’t give you a chance to argue your case. I got banned from a subredit once just by posting some lyrics to a song from Nightmare Before Christmas (Kidnap the Santy Claus). There is no point trying to make sense of it. Websites all die eventually and others take their place.

        It’s Reddit’s time.

It does not look good, how do you know it did not break their rules?

Because I know what I post there. I don’t know exactly what was said because it was from days ago and I posted quite a bit in the comments. they of course won’t tell you what the comment was because they deleted it.

I think all of my anti-Musk posts were basically saying he was a douche or a dickhead in so many words. I’m sure it got reported, some basement knob mod banned me because they want to be Musk, and that’s the end of that.

If me and my posts (both comments and original posts) are what they’re selling, and I can’t express my opinion about someone, then the place isn’t worth my time. Reddit can go the bots and repost karma whores for all I care.

I always found it weird how you can say bad things about celebrities, but not random people. Doing so on Lemmy would be an instant ban.

I got banned for “advocating violence” in a comment that simply said “I work in support services and I can personally attest that women can be extremely physically and emotionally violent, and to continually portray men as ‘the violent ones’ in our society, we tacitly deny protection to all people”

Banned for expressing this horrid thought.

You should be locked up, obviously. (I am kidding)

          No appeal procedure is proposed?

Have you encountered the same problems on Lemmy?

I appealed (not because I actually gave a fuck) and they denied it saying it was reviewed by a human, it clearly was not reviewed by a human lol

They even bought TV space. Apart from meeting apps, I’m not sure if I ever saw any other online network advertise on TV. Maybe Facebook did years ago, but I don’t think so.

I don’t know about the rest of the images, but the last one is definitely photoshopped. Check out the reflection on the floor.

Yeah I hate reddit as much as the next guy, but come on.

I would say all of them are photoshopped.

Also in the third image you can see in the reflection there’s a word that is not mirrored.

Ok there’s actually three words I could discern:

I modified the contrast a little to see it clearer. But yeah that’s definitely not a reflection, unless is the reflection of a reflection… But that’s seems unlikely.

It does not really shock me when I see the original image, but I would say that the reflection doesn’t really make sense compared to the reflection that can be seen on the black outline, and the location itself. There should be a massive angle to be able to see this much of the road

The second picture on the house seems suspicious as well.

By exception, advertising is forbidden at the following locations:

On the walls of buildings except when these walls are blind or have at least one opening with a unit area of less than 0,50 m²

Within 100 meters and in the field of visibility of buildings with an aesthetic, historic or picturesque character
