My buddy for 17 years, since passed - Bailey (because he was a tabby with a belly the same color of Bailey’s Irish Cream.

Girl: Willett Boy: Scout
Both named after bourbons - Willett and Smooth Ambler Old Scout.
My Boy: Rails, for Ruby on Rails.
My Girl: Sushi, cause she’s black and white and looks like a roll.
My 2 boy cats:

- Named after a kind of cheese
We name all the cats regardless of sex after something to do with literature. But that’s their government names and I normally don’t use those online to protect their tiny kitty privacy.

My girl cat Persephone got a goddess name, but we normally do old lady names and had a mental block on them at the time. So Percy it is.
When I was a kid our kitten was a rescue my mother brought home from the place she took horseback riding lessons - the kitten got stuck inside the chip machine’s coin box, so it works more whenever you fed the machine coins.
We ended up giving her the oh-so-original name snowball. Then her colors came in and we discovered her to be a calico. Oops. Kitty it is then. RIP kitty.
I think I call mine kitty or kitten most the time, she’s like 8 years old.
Damnit it’s true. My female cat’s name is Aurora (Bora Alice) and my last male was simply named Siatie (c a t)
