That probably wouldn’t happen. What would happen is that it would go to the courts whether a president can really pardon himself or not. His corrupt SCOTUS might actually say they can, but regardless it would probably take long enough that he’d be dead and not caring.
Sounds like a good opportunity to make a philosophical point, maybe about opposites attracting or that sometimes people don’t like each other because they’re too similar.
My dad was friends with Bill Campbell, the guy who played the original. Pretty funny guy. He told me that he had this thick accent - I want to say it was Bronx - and his parents sent him to a voice coach to give him a more upper crust accent, but they just couldn’t completely get rid of it, so he ended up with that odd speech that became kind of trademark.
I ran into him at a local wallmart years ago and he had a bunch of action figures in a basket. Turns out they had just come out with the Trelane action figure, which he thought was great, and was buying some for kids in his family.
Plus he’s making giant piles of money bilking the American people. And you can bet that, before his term ends, he’ll give himself a blanket pardon.
Because , regardless of the studies you’re talking about, the two things most correlated with improving depression are therapy and exercise. Also, most folks realize that they have zero training in dealing with depression, so if a depressed friend asks you for advice, it’s almost irresponsible to give them anything besides suggesting they talk to a therapist, though it’s always good to listen.
It kind of depends on the reason for the boycott and how widely it’s understood. Like I for sure judge anyone who buys a cybertuck today.
I was thinking the opposite - that it’s hard to read anything at all on an old, wrinkled face. Neither interpretation seem to really make sense though.

Oh, I’m with you. I just don’t pay $13 for a burger. Just because they’re unremarkable doesn’t mean they aren’t dumb.
Yeah, it really throws me off. I’m a little overly sensitive to body language and other cues about what a person is thinking and feeling, and some of that is messed up when the speed is increased.
I guess what I mean is that this place seems to be doing it at the aggregate level. Like someone decided that people going there would spend $13 for a meal, so everything is $13. Adult hamburger? $13. Kid’s hamburger? $13. Grilled cheese? $13.
Most places would say that people aren’t going to spend the same amount for a grilled cheese as for an adult burger, so they’d make the grilled cheese cheaper.
Obviously the “just price everything at what we think people will pay” strategy.
A good beef jerky is my go-to. Normally I’m a chocoholic, but chocolate isn’t great as a road trip snack.
I would never go because Elon is associated with it, but otherwise it’s kind of unremarkable. I’ve seen big chain restaurants with similar prices in the area. My biggest gripe is is that kid’s burger is the same price as the adult burger.
