There’s a difference between being attracted to certain types of people and fetishizing them. You can’t force someone to be attracted to everyone, and if they aren’t attracted to women that found out later in life that doesn’t make them a bigot (although the person mentioned here definitely is for their other comments).

I don’t think you’re overreacting. Everyone is entitled to their own tastes and it’s fine to be more attracted to cisgender people, but the way that is phrased she has much bigger issues with trans people than just wanting to date one or not.

Based on my experience, You should be okay with the hearing and jury duty. I had to miss a day of jury duty for a doctor’s appointment, and all they needed was a note, so I’d think they’ll accept proof that you had a hearing that day

I’ve been lurking several months on Lemmy, but this was so beautiful that I had to make my first comment to thank you for sharing. This had me on the verge of tears at work. I’m currently going through the same things as you in the poem. I have my first appointment with a trans friendly gender therapist soon so I can start processing my thoughts and feelings about my gender.
