I started the first Dragon Ball movie last night. I fell asleep before it was over, but it was pretty interesting. Brand new overarching story with a new big bad, but a lot of the same reused scenes and even dialogue. Worth checking out if you’re bored, but the series was much better

Right on. I might give it a try at some point. I’m watching episode 1 for the third time or so. I keep being distracted through most of it

I love both of them. So much great music across all of the series

I started with the dub, but honestly, I think I’m going to try and watch both every week. Will be interesting watching them almost side by side.

1. The opening song has been stuck in my head since the first episode

2. You’ve missed out on a lot lol. It won’t be explained anytime soon, so if you would like to know I will put it behind a spoiler tag for you

3. Dragon Ball can be wild at times. You’d think it would’ve been a bit drafty at the least

I was afraid of that. I know that’s how the old Z 16:9s were. I would never knock anybody for watching in any format, but my brain can’t get around the fact that something is missing

Were they able to change it to 16:9 with out cropping the top and bottom? I can’t remember. I’d rather have 4:3 if it means I get all of the picture

How do you feel about three episodes per week?

Thanks for your input. It isn’t choose what I want, I will choose what you guys want. I had already tossed around the idea of three episodes. I think it would be fine personally. We will try that until I have gathered more feedback

I’m not opposed to two episodes. I will get to work on things now

I have to say, after watching both versions I think I enjoy the filler. When we get to Z discussion threads my vote will be for the original version. The manga can be enjoyed as Toriyama’s exclusive work, but I feel the anime is meant to be viewed with the filler
