The above response is kinda the wrong angle, but I can’t see why a bank is not allowed to deny a loan to someone who is not a citizen. If you by definition do not have legal right to live here, I don’t get why a bank is required to loan you money to buy a home. When you can be gone and out of the country a week later. I get maybe some are willing to loan to them, but not allowing them to deny it is kinda insane. I can’t believe they legally are even allowed to buy a home.

I was once working a construction job with my buddy who was starting his business. He’s my age, but acts like he’s 60. We were bullshitting on the job and I told him how my kid Rick rolled me. He had no clue what the fuck I was talking about. I tried to explain it to him and he just didn’t get it. Fast forward a few weeks and we were in the market for some scaffolding. Doing research trying to find the best place to buy it. I used a link changer site so it didn’t look like youtube and said, “Check out these scaffolding planks, best price I’ve found” and sent him the link. He text me back 5 minutes later like WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!!! I said YOU JUST GOT FUCKN RICK ROLLED BITCH. Then he got it. Problem is, I think he liked it.

I missread that as “ruining”.

I feel like it is a story as old as time and not isolated to Boeing. I am pretty sure all companies that are publicly traded have a legal obligation to maximize stockholder return, it’s why most companies go to shit eventually. They may be able to frame making better decisions as an investment into future returns, but they are legally obligated to maximize returns. Boeing just did it while also being propped up by federal contracts where holding them accountable for the decline in quality and changing vendors was above everyone’s pay grade. End stage capitalism combined with good old boy government contracts = astronauts stuck on the space station. Boeing has been a powerhouse of profit for 50+ years before it crumbled, that is the entire adult life of a boomer. And we all know Boomers don’t give a shit about the next generation. So it served its purpose.

Unless these chemicals are extremely likely to cause cancer, it is probably the least cancerous thing on our gear. It’s usually covered in soot and all kinds of nasty shit. We make a huge effort to keep them out of the cab of the truck, wash them everytime they get used, and we don’t just hang out in them because of the carcinogens that get on them from use. Also, a firefighter smoking is not as common as it used to be. Far less than most other fields. Our job requires us to be in great cardiovascular condition and the few smokers get chastised for it. The culture has drifted away from being a smoke eater, we take tons of preventative measures to keep the cancer out of our bodies, but we know it’s still likely going to happen.

Well, I was under the impression that the presidential elections were done by prescients, and mine voted 75% for Trump in 2020. I was so sure about this I spent the last hour trying to find some confirmation bias article, and I was only met with a billion sources saying AZ is a popular vote with winner takes all. I chose to blame the way the media presents election results by prescients and my apparently minimal knowledge of gerrymandering for my gross misunderstanding of how this all works. Luckily, I have still voted in every election despite thinking my (presidential) vote was wasted.

So, a total of a likely swing is about 0.333% to the red, Trump lost by 0.3% vs. Biden. If everything was equal, it would be a recount. Hopefully, Kamala brings more enthusiasm, and Trump dies off. I live in rural Arizona, my presidential vote never counts anyways, but I will say there are the same old Trumpers, but unlike the past 2 elections I now talk to a lot of apathetic Republicans that used to be vote red no matter who people. They are over Trump, they won’t vote against him, but they may not even vote. That is something I’ve never seen.

So get out and vote and maybe we can vote in numbers too large to manipulate.

This is all from Bernie waking a generation up and opening their eyes to what could be. It’s been over 8 years since he first ran and got into the spotlight. Millennials woke up, and saw that there is another option, now a lot of their children are of voting age in a generation that doesn’t listen to 24 hour news cycles that just fear monger, they aren’t scared of the immigrants or trans people. Bernie may not have been elected but he pushed generations to realize how fucked we are and that their is something to do about it. He pushed Harris to pick Walz. He mobilized the grassroots that have now hitched up to Kamalas wagon. Hopefully, things keep trending the way they look like they are. Bernie has done more good already than any president in my lifetime. Even if he hasn’t made massive policy change, he made a few generations become sentient and numbers are what we need.

It’s quite literally the medical term… i… I am an obese man, I am an obese man mostly of my own doing, their might be some psychological or socioeconomic reasons, but it’s mostly the fact that food is good, exercise sucks, and impulse control. I wasn’t born this way, I wasn’t treated as nonhuman for something beyond my control, and obese is not used for the sole purpose of being derogatory.

Those two words are very, very different. Even if you are obese because of a thyroid, or injury, or whatever, a doctor can, and will call you obese in your medical reports. And if you can’t handle that because you can’t handle that slight uncomfortability, no wonder you are still obese.

Please no, don’t pander to the right. Pick up the people farther to the left and invigorate younger voters. We’ve had enough centrists and doing this unravels where your momentum is actually coming from. But I guess you have to appease the doners…

Meh, I’m fine with none of those people. They are all the same, working for the same overlords, only difference is Biden has a stutter. Not a single thing would be different under any of the establishment democrats it is all a coordinated hivemind. I am so sick of the same shit. It’s starting to feel like this two party system doesn’t actually represent its tax paying population, and only represents a rich few who don’t actually pay any of those taxes. It feels like the two party system is being manipulated to intentionally move things to the right to benefit the upper class. I’m starting to feel like there is some taxation without any representation and a little disenfranchised. I’m starting to feel like I REALLY don’t give a shit who gets elected because the future is shit for me and my children with either choice. Maybe those people on January 6th at least fucking DID SOMETHING. Even if I don’t agree with it. But voting doesn’t do SHIT. They make sure of it. I will vote, AgAiNsT TrUmP (yay), But the Dems can’t sit here and play with fire and be surprised when it burns them just like it did in 2016. Put in some effort to actually represent the population and people might come vote. Until then, the dems deserve what is coming to them. Problem is we are the ones that suffer. The class of people at the top, the people you just listed as candidates, are all perfectly happy with a Trump presidency. They get their tax breaks, and they get to laugh at how dumb he is on MSNBC and all the other 24 hour news diarrhea channels while he lowers the bar for future candidates. It is a best case scenario for them.

To clarify here, I am an avid Bernie supported that drove hours from my small town to go to his rallies and me and my wife donated the max allowed every year he was running. Going back and reading my initial comment I can see where i may have come across on the other side here. Where I said “at least they can vilify Trump” I guess what I was referring to is the Democrats like to hang out in the center, if Trump gets elected he would pull everything to the right, and all the democrats get to just be slightly better than him. Trump lowers the bar and it is easy for them to keep playing the good guy while they keep fucking us. If Bernie was elected, he pulls everything to the left, the democrats become the bad guy, and the jig is up for them. Him running independent doesn’t work because the DNC has the money and pull, running as a dem doesn’t work because the DNC will never let it happen. i e . we are fucked.

Trump is perfect for them, their overlords get tax breaks, and they get to easily float over the low ass bar that Trump sets for them.
