That’s not a bad build, really. Although I can’t imagine the air cooler will be necessary for a 4500, much rather use the stock and possibly upgrade to 32gb RAM if in budget. My stock 2000 series Wraith cooler has done me well in 40c summers.
Generally shorthand for animation, sound, and somewhat game balance. As for what’s good about it I couldn’t tell you because I came into the game jaded. IMO the visual design is nothing standout and the aim assist on mouse aim makes the entire experience sleep inducing.
Whatever you do, don’t use Steam reviews/scores on adult games to make your decision. I mean, if it’s Mixed then it’s probably bad, but there is an immense amount of 97% Positive games that are low effort tile puzzle asset flips/copy-paste jobs.
If they had any hope in hell of winning my riding, I might not. Until then I am going to vote for the party that has a chance of being elected. Sadly we don’t have ranked voting yet.
I found 3D theatre experiences underwhelming and sometimes headache inducing, but watching Transformers on a friends’ TV with all the properly rendered depth was fantastic.
Birth. My life was exceedingly different before coming out of the womb, no doubt.
Honestly a large amount of people would take a vegan option if it tasted the same, had the same texture, was as cheap or cheaper than meat, was as accessible, and didn’t require learning a new skill set.
And businesses would stop burning fossil fuels if renewables had the same portability, same output, were cheaper, available everywhere, and didn’t require learning a new skill set. They can still be criticised for doing so, I’m not sure what your point here is?
Twitter was quite diverse actually (it might still be, I can’t say). You had the far left, far right, and everything in between on there but it worked somewhat because the algorithm kept people mostly in their bubbles unless they went seeking it out.
No, they’re saying it’s 20:00 in the day, or 8PM, and it’s 30C out. This implies it was hotter earlier, presumably around 35C or 100F. 30-35C is not the hottest, but it’s hot, and different humidity levels will affect how bad it feels. Those unused to it will have a rough time.
They do often have better sales, but you have to launch the store to know and personally I would rather pay the extra $1 to buy on Steam…
Better alternatives? That is highly subjective. Itch’s store-front experience sucks balls and they lack 98% of the features Steam has. I appreciate their existence and have bought games from them, but language like that will only serve to alienate people that know how much Itch lacks compared to Steam.
Instead of up/down buttons you would have a set of buttons such as “Agree”, “Disagree”, “Funny”, “Useful”, etcetera. The only website I know of that still uses these is Ravelry.
While it is easy to fall into this trap of disagree downvotes, they should really not be used that way. All that does is turn them into a popularity contest. Downvotes should be used on comments that do not improve the thread. This may be because they are wrong, made in bad faith, rude, or otherwise, but not simply because you disagree. Ideally we would have different buttons for this like the forums of old, but no one seems interested in that nowadays.
Need an automod that will insta-ban with no recourse anyone posting pig balls.
Two main issues with this approach, in my opinion:
Instance blocking does not block comments. If multiple Hexbear users decides to harass you, you will keep seeing their replies until you manage to block every user to blame. I don’t want to go through this.
Every new user to lemmy.ca will have to put up with the sea of bad-faith Hexbear users until they also go through this multi-phase blocking process, which is a terrible onboarding experience.
While these aren’t huge issues if Hexbear plays nice, I don’t trust that to be the case. From my experience of the last time I just have to assume it will be more harassment and more ASCII/emote spam and do not wish for our instance to be polluted by that.
Thanks for bringing this to the community instead of immediately making a decision yourselves. It is nice to have the opportunity to be a part of the choice, since it’s open as a possibility.
That said, no thank you. Lemmy instance blocking still cannot block both posts and users, which means that even though we can avoid their posts as we wish, we will still be inundated by Hexbear replies on every post. Considering that the comments are quite possibly the worst part of Hexbear, this will result in the same shit-show we had last time. The comments on their refederation post just reassure me that we don’t want to be associated with them. I won’t shed a tear to be missing out on the 5 extra meme posts on my all page.
That is the million dollar question, isn’t it…
