If ever. I think the US highly underestimates the aversion a huge number of people have towards a country condoning and aiding genocide.
Whatever, couldn’t it also be that a technical consciousness will look rather different from what we assume? There are obviously less/none of some factors, ie emotional intelligence etc. But a tech super intelligence, if ever reached, may have a number of unexpected problems for us. We should concentrate on unexpected outcomes and establish safeguards.

I like SD slots for all kinds of reasons, never had a single one die on me… As for subscription based stuff, even/especially apps, etc, they’re just a money drain and, let’s face it, a lot are not worth what they demand and are plain exploitative…
There are plenty of things where AI (a really bad naming) will be useful - Art is not one of those… Without life experiences you’ll ever be a copycat at best - and even if by chance artificial art is going to be halfway good, I’m, for one, not in the least interested in it. (I’ve already turned away from most mass/factory produced Hollywood garbage, I certainly wouldn’t want more of it produced by a machine).
