Like quite a few early religious rules I will never be convinced that it wasn’t just a bunch of dumbass men couldn’t be arsed to keep their junk clean and got infections thus new ritual was born to eliminate the problem.

The eligibility cliffs are a rough place to be yeah. Even when you don’t immediately lose the entire benefit you get screwed but my Gods do you get screwed when it’s just “Nope, you make too much money. You get nothing.”

Having to be very careful about pay ranges for jobs you pick up because there’s a big glaring red zone where you lose a bunch of benefits without making enough money to replace them. That raise you just got? That was actually a pay cut nerd. Have fun.

Part 1 is the one I have more experience with and yet so many people refuse to believe it exists. Prefect example. Last year my son for approved for SSI benefits, about 300 dollars a month. Great right? Some much needed wiggle room for a family that relies on disability benefits, SNAP, housing assistance, etc right?

Well that income change triggered a reduction in our SNAP benefit and an increase in our income based rent. So that additional 300 a month cost us about 250 dollars in benefits and now we have to keep meticulous track of where every cent of that SSI gets used on our son’s behalf. Lucky for us in this particular instance we’re allowed to just say “we’re putting it all towards rent” every month and have it be fine.

I think the claim is supposed to be that the parts of it that makes Israel look bad are what’s fake. Like the proof of them bombing civilians, or of their soldiers having called shot sniping contests on literal fucking kids. She seems to be claiming that we’re seeing fake videos that are showing Israel killing civilians rather than the dangerous Hamas militants they are and it’s brainwashing us into being anti-Israel.

I think the “theory” is supposed to be that the stuff about it that makes Israel look bad is what’s supposedly totally made up. Like “Oh those dozen videos of IDF soldiers playing a game to see who could snipe the most children in the genitals? That’s not real. Those were Hamas fighters. If you dumb kids knew the whole story you would agree with us adults in the room that Israel is in the right here.”

Still fucking psychotic, just a different flavor of psychotic.

Short version, Wife’s granddad was an old racist. Old racist granddad made wife mad. Old racist granddad wanted to impress some people. Wife casually asked old racist granddad about some super old super racist terms he said to her in front of said people to embarrass him in front of them.

From what I can gather it’s like a super old racist term for a black person. idk if I’d call it a full on slur, but definitely in that ballpark. But either way we’re talking like 1920s old. Like this term was at least 75 when my wife did this to her grandfather in 2000.

My wife basically did this to her racist grandpa one time. I think they were having dinner with friends and she goes “Gwampa, I have a question, is a ‘Jive-Ass Jigaboo’ the same thing as a ‘Jungle Bunny’?”

It did not go over well with her grandpa’s friends lmao.

Edit: My wife wanted me to add because I didn’t mention it originally that she was 15 when she did this. So she was 100% aware of the live grenade she was lobbing into this conversation. I was also misremembering a little of the context these people weren’t friends they were people related to her grandpa’s labor union basically he was trying to impress and really laying it on thick. One of whom was a black man. Hence it being this particular live grenade.

They absolutely would if they could. But again, this woman at the time was basically in Chudwife camo. She’s Lily White, Midwestern, and at the time was dressed like a Suburban Karen. Hairstyle included because we didn’t have the time to keep up the undercut she usually keeps that makes her look more like a Butch Lesbian than a Suburban Karen.

So unless you looked at her and were brain broken by transvestigation like sometimes happens when she goes into public restrooms there’s no way you’d look at her and think “She votes Democrat” even where we live. Plus if they were gonna try that song and dance they would have pulled her over any time while she was trying to evade them. Or even just grabbing her immediately outside of the blood draw clinic they were waiting outside of and followed her as she left.

Which leads me to believe that they were looking for a secluded area to pull her over and threaten to arrest her unless they get something out of it.

Yeah, all we personally have is some contemporaneous notes for the time an ICE vehicle stalked my partner as she left a blood draw appointment. She tried to lose them for a few blocks then took them through a Walgreens drive thru to pick up meds hoping they were waiting to try anything until she was more isolated. Luckily the one we were at has a high traffic street it lets out onto so she lost them coming out of the drive thru. But like, she is Lily White Midwestern and we live in Western NY. Not a chance they “thought she was illegal” they were 1,000% on some nefarious shit.

Unfortunately we found out from that incident our dash cam was malfunctioning, so no video evidence of them stalking her on our end. I’m sure several of the pharmacists remember her little “Fuck ICE” song though lmao. We have since replaced our dash cam and invested in some cameras for our house so we can see if they come around trying to harass any of our refugee (or with the way this bigoted regime has been heading any of our Puerto Rican) neighbors.

Oh absolutely, but even discounting the bits of wording that scream “I’m doing my part to make this a WHITE CHRISTIAN NATION” in his post I guarantee you he’d instinctively see moving to any non-US county as a significant downgrade.

My partner, a 40 year old lesbian saw this on my phone as I scrolled past, frowned and went “30? That’s a damn baby…”

Meanwhile my daughter, 5 and already an entire lesbian disaster comes trotting over wanting to see the “baby” her Mom just talked about. She was disappointed at first it wasn’t an actual baby but started licking her lips and asking me (35 ace enby) “if I had that girl” She watches me play gacha games looking for new girlfriends and regularly steals my screen to kiss it.

What do you want to bet that “legal” pathway they were using is one of the ones like TPS or Asylum etc that Trump has explicitly said was “illegal actually, trust me bro”

No way it’s only taken 2 years on the “normal” legal track.

I 100% believe that a big reason they’re so adamant about the masks is because they pulled from a bunch of those white supremacist militias to pad out their numbers. Illegal to them is absolutely just “not white enough” or “not speaking enough English” for them.

Yeah it took me a few replies deep before I finally clicked their profile and wow. I have multiple autistic children, my partner is autistic, all 4 of them are incredibly literal in their interpretations of language, and even they aren’t anywhere near this particular about the meanings of words.

I had hoped maybe it might help you understand how ridiculous you were being but apparently my hopes were a bit too lofty.
