The Air Canada AI chatbot gave wrong policies to someone around bereavement flights, went to court, and Air Canada lost having to refund the ticket price difference.
They tried to claim they weren’t responsible for the Ai.

So at least in Canada we have some precedent that if their AI pricing fucks up, it’s their own fault.
Delta CEO determined sales decline is related to customers calling in with complaints and the call center not handling them to their satisfaction. Fires entire call center staff and replaces with AI.

Ya, it would definitely do that, it’s just traffic aware cruise control. It’s probably part of why autopilot will turn itself off when a collision is imminent, because it’d probably just drive off after if it didn’t. It’s clear ahead? Go! I think the other reason is I think the true AEB system (not AP deciding to stop, but the AEB mechanism that’s always on) overrides it, and turns it off. Like the two are mutually exclusive systems. That’s just a hypothesis though. Simply ensuring the vehicle doesn’t continue after might be reason enough.

There are countless things that can get in the way, but if you’re lucky with your health, that’s what it takes to live old and be able to run.
We can live that long, although it’s uncommon.
A key thing as you get older is to stay active and mobile. If you can it’ll be easier to remain mobile longer which will in turn help you live longer.
It can get hard though as bad knees or hips start impeding movement.
Edit: and the staying active as you get older isn’t like when you hit 70, but from what I’ve seen becomes more and more important in the 40s
All Teslas have AEB (automatic emergency braking) which is active at all times.
It’s not a stop for a light or stop sign type thing, but it will try to slow the vehicle if a crash is imminent.
Never expect AEB in any car to reliably prevent a crash. That’s not it’s main purpose. Reducing speeds is. It will have more success at prevention at slower speeds.

13·13 days agoPart of the right wing strategy is to be so fucking crazy that it makes the non crazy right wing people not seem right wing.
That doesn’t even mean these new moderarte/centrist people even think of themselves as right wing, they might really believe they are centrist, but the whole window has shifted right.
That also makes normal left wing stuff now seem radical in comparison to before.
Juvenile is probably going to easy on them. It’s toxic and not how a community like this should behave, and participating in things like that leads to further toxic participation.
About this incident specifically: maybe I was too quick to judge.
Really, that’s all I’m hoping people will realize and take forward with them in the future through this experience.
Still plenty of reasons to hate the company, this doesn’t change that.
