Which ones have successfully eradicated the drug trafficking culture in their countries? Mexico and Columbia have always been the traditional ones. Not sure how big drug industry is elsewhere.

I haven’t suggested otherwise. I’m merely giving you more nuanced and complex understanding of the situation. “Genocide” by definition isn’t just against Rohingya. It is happening against many ethnicities who have been fighting the military for decades in Myanmar. Again, for some reason, the Western media focuses only on Rohingya. It is not your fault you are inadequately informed. However you want to insist on this one-dimensional view of Myanmar, it is only a small slice of reality.
HRW decided to use a single instance of Rohingya victims getting killed in the civil war to say the genocide is continuing. Why haven’t they done the same for the Karens, the Shans, the Karennis, Chins, Kachins, etc? The report of civilians getting killed in Myanmar during this war is nothing new. I invite you to visit https://lemmy.ca/c/myanmar. I ask you then why is it they only focus on Rohingya? It is because they the HRW are lazy. They have a singular narrative that sells in the West and earns them donations. (The same goes for the press). They aren’t out there on the ground monitoring and reporting on the rest of the country. They don’t even need to be on the ground. Read the news and speak with all the different factions to grasp the situation.
You are specifically referring to the Rohingya genocide where over 100 Rohingyas were killed. At the time of the Rohingya massacre the government was not a junta; it was under civilian NLD party led by Suu Kyi who won the parliament despite the constitution that was designed to give military power. The junta happened in 2021 when the military lost the election again that they designed to win. So they staged the coup.
This is a recognition of sorts for Min Aung Hlaing, the legitimacy he’s been seeking. To be seen as equals by leaders of other countries. It is to be noted, while he’s visited Russia repeatedly, and is now visiting China, he’s yet to be hosted by or been met by Putin or Xi.
Kamala wasn’t the better candidate. Biden would’ve done better. They forced the old man out in the middle of a campaign. Kamala never fared well on her own. Stupid Dems thought because Biden lost the debate he’d lose the election. Well Trump lost the freakin debate, but did it matter?! NO! THAT’S why they need to be gone. They got lucky with Biden. They ain’t getting lucky again.
Pricing in all the jjuicy tax breaks and stock buy backs from all that extra cash.
They need to fire the leaders of Democratic party. Find new blood and new direction. Swing to the right didn’t help them.
My guess is it must be at capacity and there’s no space to build a parallel lane next to the tracks. This is conveyor belt so it is constantly moving in both directions with pellets being dropped back and forth. Of course rail industry has been trying to get to the “conveyor belt” idea for sometime but to have one that’s constantly moving both directions isn’t executable.
Well then, do enlighten me? Who’s going to step up providing aid to Ukraine once US stops?
Without Biden Ukraine is gone. Europe doesn’t have a single backbone to stand up to Russia. If they become Russia’s beeswax, it’s on them.
This is the most damning rebuke of Democrats and their leaders. Trump’s tactics worked.
Evil comes in orange.
This is the first time Min Aung Hlaing (MAL) has received an invitation and visited China since staging the coup in 2021. MAL has long coveted an invitation from China since it would recognize his position as head of state and legitimize the coup. It is to be noted this visit isn’t an invitation to Beijing, but to a provincial city of Kunming. MAL is very much being treated as a backwater state official, and not as a proper head of state as usually accorded.
Thanks America, for the hell you’re about to unleash.
Which would those be? Canadian asking.

They should hike the tax on Air B&B too.
Junta is often used for military regimes.
Interesting. Cops are corrupt in Mexico that’s why they’re using troops. Can they make troops cops too?
