I’ve been hoping the entire past year was a hallucination, myself.

I hate that his fucking followers will be more angry about this than the fact that he raped kids on Epstein’s island.

I think we won’t be sure until they start shooting Season 9. Maybe not even until they finish that one too.

I relentlessly hate that shit. I’ve heard a few reasons for why they do it, and none of them are good. All I see is some pretentious twat who really wants the thorn to be a thing, and it’s not going to happen. I wish them the worst.

It was never about actual freedom from oppression with those people, it was just about who was getting their way.

If you wanted to do things like prevent someone from firing or evicting someone just for being gay, that’s oppression. If you want to keep a teacher from just teaching the christian bible as literal scientific truth in a public school, that’s oppression. If you wanted to say people shouldn’t be allowed to own anti-aircraft missiles, that’s oppression. None of those are allowed, don’t tread on me, oppressive fascist state bad.

If however you wanted to round up all the brown people and put them in camps, that’s totally fine by them. If you want to arrest people for speaking out against a hard-right regime, go right ahead. If you want to strip LGBTQ+ people of any and all rights you possibly can, go for it, they’re the “bad guys.”

“Don’t Tread On Me” was always a dog whistle. It was never about freedom, it was about making sure the “right” people got tread on.

Don’t forget how many simply refused to entertain reality in the first place. Every so often we still see someone telling on themselves, like “If he didn’t actually have sex with men, he’s not gay. If gay was just attraction we would all be gay.” They got pushed so far into the closet that they thought that was just how the world is.

We absolutely do need to end the cycle yes, but putting the GOP in absolute power isn’t going to make that happen, and it’s going to make a lot of things a lot worse for a lot of people in the process. Your sense of righteous indignation at the two party system doesn’t help people being black bagged by masked secret police and getting sent off to camps.

The headline makes it sound like that’s a decision that was made specifically for this pardon. It is not. Presidential pardons have only ever applied to Federal charges, never to State charges.

Yeah giving the GOP a clear run at a win is a sure way to see the change you want implemented!

It’s projection, they feel deep insecurities and discomfort with sexuality, especially their own, so they’re either assuming everyone else must be some kind of heinous deviant or they’re trying to keep the attention on other people.

It’s not a question of the world being too big or too small, it’s the density of interesting things. A giant world with very little worth doing doesn’t accomplish much, but similarly a small world where you’re absolutely tripping over things that feel like you shouldn’t skip them will also feel claustrophobic.

Additionally, the traversal system can help a LOT here. Even a world that has a lot of wide open dead space can feel good if the process of crossing that space is itself fun. Dune: Awakening comes to mind here, where there are large spans of open desert that you need to cross, but ripping across the dunes on my sandbike was so much fun I didn’t mind the dead ground.

Well I occasionally have the impulse to tell my coworkers “That’s Minus Fifty DKP!” but aside from that, I dunno maybe there’s something to be said about just knowing your role, doing your job right, and assuming you don’t need to micromanage everyone else.

Obviously a better candidate would be better, but by the time the general election arrives you only get three choices.

• A neoliberal who won’t do enough to actually fix systemic problems and will continue to pamper the corporate class at the expense of the rest of us.
• A Fascist who will do the above while also actively pushing authoritarian policy, actively seek to villainize the most vulnerable among us, and actively try to normalize putting anyone who disagrees in concentration camps.
• Any vote for neither of the above that has no chance of actually winning the election and is as effective at enacting change as not voting at all.

Right now is absolutely the time to try to push forward the better candidate. Uplift the better option than the neoliberal, get active in the primary campaign, be heard now, because if you wait until the general election it’s too late. Our goal should be to replace the neoliberal on the big ticket. I do not like Gavin Newsome, I do not want him to be president. He has shown his true colors more than a few times. If it comes down to it, though, I’ll vote for whoever isn’t part of the MAGA-Nazi authoritarian regime, because if you don’t pick the lesser evil, you get the greater evil, and they sure as shit won’t be better than the one that just wasn’t good enough.

I’m sure there are a lot of people right now holding their heads up in pride about how they voted for whatever third party option would have been better than Harris, but their pride and conviction to their ideals doesn’t help the people being rounded up by the secret police and sent to the camps. We can’t always fix everything all at once, but that’s no excuse to allow the most egregious evil to run rampant until the perfect solution comes along.

They preferentially select for Evil first, but being both evil and dumb on so many levels is definitely how to get ahead in the organization.

Legally they all will get paid, and acrue paid leave as normal during a government shutdown.

And as we all know, this administration is all about obeying the law.

Counterstrike has had loot boxes for many years, they weren’t recently added. What was recently added was a mechanic that allows 5 lower value items (certain gun skins) to be exchanged for a random higher value item (glove or knife skins). It’s acting to level the market. If anything, this change serves to inhibit loot box gambling by cutting the possibility of hitting a real money jackpot.
