The best suggestion anyone could give here is to seek out professional help because this question is way way way too big and serious for the likes of Lemmy.

He’s literally at a fundraiser with a bunch of pro-business fucks giving this mealy-mouthed speech. He literally expanded all the worst parts of the Bush admin which are now being pointed at US citizens like mass surveillance.

No he didn’t explicitly vote for it himself, but he admitted himself that if he had run in the 80’s he would have been considered a Republican. For fucks sake, “Obamacare” was actually “Romneycare,” can we stop acting like the entire party apparatus as a whole doesn’t deep throat big business? Because it fucking does and it doesn’t matter if he didn’t directly vote for that himself, he’s still part and parcel to the people who make it this fucking bad. That’s literally the people he is giving a speech to here.

The point is its “vote blue no matter who” until it’s against the pro-business centrists in the Democratic party, and then it’s “fuck you, we’ll run independent and split the vote to let a Republican win!” because they only say that it’s important to not let perfect be the enemy of good when it comes to corrupt fuckheads who don’t give a single iota of a shit about working class people. They’re happy to drop the facade when someone like Mamdani gets in, they’d rather a Republican win than someone with real plans for change.

Because they are the ones who care about shit like environmental regulations and not polluting our cities to make new housing, especially when so much property is being held and unused by an investor class who refuses to release it until they have a profit on the deal. I have lived in two northwest cities in the last 15 years where the downtowns are barren with empty buildings that could be sold, torn down, and built into apartments. But noooo in each city they’d rather clearcut the wooded areas and build there instead all the while whinging about environmental regulations making it costly.

Whatever the fuck happened to that Eminent Domain shit? Why aren’t we using that for the good of housing people?

Hope and change was always a lie to just get into office and then hand it all to businesses. I mean fuck the ACA insurance mandate was basically holding citizens hostage and forcing them to pay healthcare insurance providers whether the insurance actually left them with enough money leftover to use their “access” to healthcare or not.

Fuck all the navel gazing about how it would bring insurance costs down. A public option would have done more.

Also I think a lot of people misunderstand the definition of “low-stakes conspiracy.”

Both Gravity Falls and the Amazing World of Gumball have absolutely top tier writing. 100% both Dipper and Gumball are “off-model” in OPs image. For this seemingly being a “we’re so sick of the CalArts style” example people must not know that the creator of Gumball, Ben Bocquelet, is fucking French and the show is produced in Europe.

I’m in my forties and Gumball is legitimately one of the funniest cartoons I have seen in two decades.

Also, Gumball stands out on it’s own because the norm for cartoons for a long time has seemed to have been the Gravity Falls/Adventure Time/Steven Universe formula of comedy mixed with a bunch of serious undertones and long-form story. There is no long-form story with Gumball, with the voice actors literally resetting multiple times and making jokes about switching voices no less. There hasn’t really been an extremely funny cartoon of that variety (that I have seen personally) since the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, and Gumball positively outshines Flapjack.

Finally, it also ignores how Gumball absolutely pulls faces like this. Here’s a couple screenshots I just pulled from episodes I remember.
