5 years of wfh starting because of covid. I’ve not once had my camera on for an external meeting (multiple daily). Only got shit for it twice.
I do pop my cam on for team meetings tho but I’m willing to do that to keep the peace

Think about where AI was 10 years ago. Cutting edge AI was able to accept an video, and put bounding boxes around a predefined set of objects it’s able to recognize (see You Only Look Once paper, 2015). That was about it.
10 years before that, cutting edge AI was maybe digit recognition. I’m not sure.
Your own understanding of history is incorrect https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_artificial_intelligence?wprov=sfla1
I have no comment on this vid or the scishow, but you’re comment is ignorant on the reality of progression of ai-related fields. Having computers “learn” has been a thing for much longer than 20 years.
This was me every day I worked in an office. I kind of enjoyed it though. I’d come home off the train and lay in bed for 10 min to an hour just decompressing. In the summer I’d go for a walk after. I miss feeling like I earned that nothingness time.

I respect your stance but disagree. Some jobs should cease to exist and overpaid ceos are one of those.

You also don’t do a job for 16 years if you don’t at least enjoy some of it. Probably wants that pension and to continue doing what he enjoys/is good at.

ICE is supposedly heading to Texas next. I think they might shoot back.

Say what you want they are making a shit load of money and they/their investors are very happy with the trajectory of the company and it’s stock.
Bigots, often. No offence to the person you are replying to (they said they default partner = same sex) but really it’s mostly just people who refuse to broaden their worldview or accept neutral descriptive terms. Partner could mean any number of things and to assume it’s just a same sex couple is ignorant.

Perhaps maybe we shouldn’t work towards a system of rugged individuality and isolation. Perhaps capitalism has failed us by coercing us to believe living alone is an ideal worth chasing.
I won’t pretend life is good for many, but perhaps living alone shouldn’t be the metric for success

Oops my mistake Thanks for the correction

I loved my nexus 7.

Anyone got a link to the original JP Morgan report? Tomshardware didn’t

Uhh, going to need to see some evidence of that. Literally never heard of non indie devs getting royalties or continued payments based off the success of the game.
Actually I’ll correct myself, rockstar is the only company I’ve heard of that does big internal payouts post launch. Most of Rockstars game launches have resulted in new houses for some of their teams.
Got any other examples to share?

For 40 days democrats did all they could, they refused to compromise. Today they broke that status quo. When you don’t have the votes and you don’t have the message, you have nothing. Dems have failed for 50 years to do what Republicans have of infiltrating all levels of government such as mayors, governors, and judges.
There really isn’t much left for Dems to do except yell loudly, write loudly, or refuse to participate in the process. They’ve failed to get themselves in any strategic position to do anything else.
We should all be mad and upset at them. Theyve failed to play the same game that the Republicans have won at. But short of physical altercations there is very little else Democrats can do

He did already and that’s why we know most dishwashers (in the US) are fed by one line coming from the hot water tap.

What should they be doing otherwise?

Burrys bet isn’t even against the whole bubble bursting. He’s specifically targeting one company who does “AI” for the government and the other is the shovel seller…
If Burry was anti AI and thought the whole bubble would burst he might have spread his shorts across the likes of the commercial AI product sellers, but he hasn’t.
Burry thinks Palantir will go tits up (we should all hope for this) and that Nvidia won’t pivot fast enough post AI gold rush

Meta isn’t even mentioned in this article. I get how they seem connected but Burrys bet was against Palantir and Nvidia. This news about meta is tangentially related maybe but not a sure sign of Burrys bet

Burry didn’t bet against Meta, but rather 9/10 against palantir and 1/10 against Nvidia.
I swear he keeps moving
