There is no longer any cheap and abundant energy source available. Fossil extraction is trapped in the narrowing triangle of doom of being too cheap for producers and too expensive for consumers. Current renewable is a multiplier of fossil and is not cheap if you require storage for dispatchability. It is slowly getting cheaper, with the caveat of necessary mineral resource extraction. There is no energy transition in the sense that there is no substitution, only addition. Fossil extraction is about to start falling rapidly even in terms of volume (the actually relevant metric is net energy, especially per capita) since most of it is now tight resources. It easy to see where this is going.
I use a hardware TAN generator though I also have a banking app as a fallback on my Lineage OS phone. If I ever buy a Pixel it’s only to install Graphene OS on it.
I get most of my stuff via F-Droid or I could use Obtainium. My tablet is Google-free. This sounds like my phone should be Google-free as well.
Do not expect to find facts on Wikipedia when the overall propaganda volume is deafening.
This war started more than a decade ago. Russian Federation only became a party some two years ago.
The next target after Russia loses against NATO will be China actually. And then Iran, North Korea. But you’ll get a total nuclear exchange well before, so it’s academical.
So likely next proxy is Moldova, Romania, Georgia, Belorus. Poland is also a possibility, but not at first. Unless Belorus, but then we’re at tactical nukes stage already.
They definitely are way down, in Germany.
The conflict started more than a decade ago. Currently it’s a proxy war mostly limited to the territory of Ukraine and Russia. Other countries are in the pipeline.
What does “win” even mean? NATO starting World War 3? Well, they’re getting there.
I am not at all sure that a large fraction of decision-makers understand the whole gravity of the situation. Many of them really believe that this is a leisurely, voluntary transition. While it is nether leisurely, nor voluntary, nor a transition.
Just use Kelvin. Problem solved.
I call them digital savages. You wouldn’t ask a jungle tribe about the Krebs cycle either.
That sounds more like an atomoxetine side effect than lysdexamfetamine. Weird. I would suggest to get your prostate looked at.
You bring it from home. Or find a home office job.
Works for me still. Try archive.ph to access it, maybe.
The best part is yet to come: you’ll get sick and then you’ll die. Alone. In the rain.
If you look at the global primary energy use https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/global-primary-energy , then the only transition you see is from coal and oil to natural gas.
If you think the bulk of your energy consumption is low-carbon you’re sadly mistaken. If the fossil energy extraction dips significantly, billions of people will starve.
