I’ve started keeping a handful of cases and I test all the hardware, catalog it and then put it in totes layered with anti static bubble wrap. Works great for jamming a large density of hardware in a small space!

Yeah I tend to archive hardware till I meet someone who needs a system then I try to put something together that meets their needs. Otherwise I mothball it till I have a hardware failure in one of my servers etc. Thankfully the systems I am taking are heading for a grinder somewhere and not being repurposed.

The dump I go to every week to drop off my household garbage has an e waste shed. The guys that work there told me I can pick through it. My basement is a pc graveyard now.

Sadly it seems APPEARING to care is more important than actually protecting our country. I guess they have a lot in common with the majority of elected democratic politicians. Maybe people will have a wake up call after this but I’m not hopeful. I will however keep hoping AND striving for a better future.

The problem is people would rather complain when the bad things that were obviously going to happen come to pass rather than swallow their pride and go against their morals. The number of people I know that chose to stay home on the Gaza issue alone is mind boggling. Dems had plenty to care about after seeing the first Trump term and decided they had enough wiggle room to do some moral grandstanding. They chose poorly.

I both think she was a bad candidate AND blame apathic voters. Regardless of how bad a candidate she was we could all see the writing on the wall of where we would end up if Donnie got in and they still decided to stay home. Protesting by not voting is like proving guns kill people by playing Russian roulette.

Yaknow what… this is the first time I’ve seen this style of “time has passed you’re old now” meme where I was instead like “really, 2011? It feels like so much longer…”

A buddy of mine and I have been using it for a bit, he more than I. Haven’t noticed any major issues with it. Proton works well for gaming. Overall pretty solid. I’d say spin it up and give it a test drive.
