Same. My web host is already creaking under the strain of Wordpress, I’m not going to chance it by adding two-way federation to the rickety database.

That’s fair. But we do not know the specifics of that parallel universe Boimler’s face fur:
Judging by the amount of facial hair growth Boimler’s exhibited over the course of the three episodes this season, we can assume that so far the entire season has taken place over about 17 hours.
Now now, let’s not be normative about the speed of facial hair growth. Some people take longer filling in their mustache and beards than others, and this could easily be something like 17 days if Boimler has particularly slow and/or sparse facial hair.

Harsh, but true.
I understand the ease from an admin POV, but besides locking users into a third party, corporate suite, everything UX about Office365 sucks balls.
You tried 1234
and password
already, right?
That is certainly an improvement over Signal, yeah.
Yeah, “Matrix as IRC” with general interest rooms is an unmonitored cesspool. “Matrix as IM” for staying in touch with mates is doing just fine.
“Slightly biased”, yeah.
There is also MicroBlogPub, although development has wound down in the past year. I spun up a test instance before that, though, and it does what it says on the tin.
Of late I’ve tried out the Translate You Android app. Not necessarily an endorsement of the app itself, but it offers a selection of 9 translator services, a few of which are libre.
Certainly LibreTranslate and Lingva [my bad, it’s a GTranslate front-end] Apertium are open source, probably a few more on their list. Give them a try and see which works best for you!

Cool cool, glad to see I may have jumped the gun. But I had cause to try a couple other Firefoxes (Nightly Beta and Mull) in the meantime!
Now I’ll just be refreshing F-Droid every five minutes until the update comes through 😄
I mean, Deepl is useful, and more accurate than Google Translate — but I’d prefer a libre alternative. Haven’t found one yet that hits the mark.
But anyway, that’s OT for the Fediverse sub 🙂
Yeah, for one thing deepl is defo not part of the fediverse.
Didn’t even know there was a Waterfox for android, good to know.
I experience similar, if rarely, with my about:config modifications and muBlock add-on [edit: that was on Fennec, I expect similar on other Fenix forks]. Those things I blame more on the modern web than on any browser :/
Oh yes. As much as I liked Whittaker’s take on the the Doctor, Jo Martin really topped it in her three(?!) appearances. I guess they complemented each other, a wacky and confused incarnation vs an imperious and composed one?
Either way, hope to see them both back some day — and there is definitely more narrative meat on the Fugitive Doctor!
Thanks for the context! Much appreciated.
Ah yes, the toolchain changes appear to be a stumbling stone for the Fennec devs as well. That kind of thing doesn’t exactly speed up new releases, I’m sure.
What are your experiences with Mull? Is it generally compatible with Firefox plugins, and are there performance improvements as well as in security?
Damn, he was a highlight of anything he appeared in, and his Trek parts were amazing. His memory lives on.
