  • Also, a grammar lesson for you too! When you dont put ‘an’ between quotation marks, your sentence doesn’t read well either. Next debate should be which quotation marks to use, but that varies by country.

However, your post enlightened me to my mispronunciation of Ubisoft, despite knowing they were French. I’m not sure that I’ll change though. I don’t thibknthe French would anglicise a word with widespread French pronunciation to appease non-French speakers, so I’m sure they are (ironically not) fine with it.

I also agree with you, that in English, most people pronounce it as Yubi, so “a” would have been appropriate and 'an" reads poorly.

  • My first date with my husband, we went for dinner. I’m not going to want a broccoli themed ring. This is just odd. If she was a big iron man fan, perhaps it would work but just seeing a movie once isn’t that. This speaks not just to bad choices but a lack of maturity and understanding each other. Probably good she said no.

  • Democrats are much more likely to have a Spanish speaker on staff at all levels. They are a more diverse bunch. Republicans, many from southern states will speak some Spanish, more so than northern white democrats. But, they are more likely to he a white only staff at each level, so nobody would pick up on it.

This is part of the reason diversity is important. It will be self evident to some people that things are not right, whereas those in a different world won’t even notice.
