How about reading the article instead of trying to lecture people? It would be time better spent.

I wonder if this is an American catholic thing? Probably some European country has it (Ireland maybe?) but others don’t. I’m from a catholic country and never heard of people doing this.

Don’t know where you drew this conclusion but it seems like a logical move, since Russians are constantly attacking the infra structure.
