@Tundra_Lifeform Eu eram nemulțumit de ceva vreme de Facebook și de Meta. Friendica pentru mine e „drogul mai bun” ca să zic așa - nu-ți colectează datele, nu are (așa multe) tactici din astea de a mă reține cât mai mult ca să văd cât mai multe reclame, nu-mi împinge în față postări controversate ca să mă cert cu toți proștii și așa să își ia ei mai mult timp de utilizare pe spinarea mea.

Este pe de altă parte un friction mai mare în ceea ce privește urmărirea de conturi și de comunități, dar aia e.

Chit că urmăresc și comunități de Lemmy, și canale de PeerTube, așa că ajung să stau și mai puțin pe yt sau Reddit (allegedly - trebuie să mă învăț să nu mai deschid j-de mii de site-uri).

A, și nu în ultimul rând, e descentralizat - dacă serverul pe care sunt eu o ia în jos cu un nou Zuck, mai am și altele la dispoziție.

Minim 3 cu mine, lol. Au fost vreo 3 servere de Lemmy până acum: fediverse.ro, feddit.ro și lemmit.ro. Toate au murit din păcate. Pe Feddit am fost cel mai activ, împreună cu încă cineva de pe acolo, i-am uitat username-ul, și mai era un puști de pe lemmy.zip, @sarmale îi zicea.

Serverul ăsta pare totuși să fie un proiect serios, cred că are deja un an pe aici și nu văd să fi murit. Deci probabil o să încep să postez și eu mai des pe aici.

Legat de mine, anul ăsta se fac 4 ani de când sunt pe spațiul ăsta de pe internet. Credeam că nu o să fie mare lucru și că o să am un cont pe acolo pe internet ca alternativă la Facebook, pe unde să mai intru din când în când - de unde? Mai întâi a migrat lumea de pe X, așa că am început să urmăresc conturi de acolo (inițial am prins cred că vreo 5 care aveau și pagini de fb). Apoi a venit migrarea de pe Reddit așa că am mai prins și niște sub-uri de acolo. După Flipboard a venit pe Fedivers și am început să urmăresc publicații de acolo. Am descoperit și bird.makeup și kilogram.makeup, deci acum urmăresc pe Fedivers și conturi care nu sunt pe Fedivers (Technologia!) Apoi am descoperit (cam târziu ce-i drept) utilitatea de a avea un cont pe Bluesky - în fapt, fiind pe Friendica, tot pe aici îmi vin postările. Chiar cred că în minim 1-2 ani o să renunț la vasta majoritate a platformelor big tech, lol.

Nu sunteți chiar singuri, să știți. Sunt destui români și pe aici aparent, chiar dacă nu sunt așa vizibili. Chiar persoane destul de notabile au încercat, deși unii par să-și fi abandonat conturile (sper să revină tho) - am făcut o listă aici.

Sunt și servere românești de fedi - dacă intri pe hartă pe fediverse.observer le găsești. Cel mai mare este mstdn.ro, deși văd că e cam slab moderat în ultima perioadă - s-au cam aciuat destui rusnaci pe acolo. Dar are niște perk-uri interesante.

Tot ce vă recomand e să fiți activi, să postați, să reacționați, să comentați, pentru că în ultimă instanță voi sunteți cei care țineți locul ăsta de pe internet în picioare 😁

Mă bucur că începe lumea să descopere Fediversul pe bune. Simțiți-vă ca acasă! 🙂

I read about most of the shit the tankies on ml say it’s censorship. Many of them are just common sense stuff. And the fact that you are flagged for commenting “this” or that you’re commenting with a GIF from Tenor - those two things are pretty low effort and I think the answer to it is a proper one (no, it’s not actually a thing about GIFs, it’s about low effort comments. You can upload your own GIF elsewhere and use it).

I cannot remember since I’ve been through there last time, but I remember it was inhabited. Or at least I hope so. If not, it is one of the many historical buildings left to rot by some real estate developer, so that it falls down by itself and raise some “beautiful” modern posh luxury apartment complex (I really do hope that’s not the case, it would be such a loss, and the area isn’t designated as historical either afaik).

I didn’t downvote you - on the contrary, I upvoted you, actually. Every single loss of Russia in Ukraine is a direct consequence of Putin’s decisions (as well as NK). However, this is a necessary evil. For as many enemy soldiers are killed in Ukraine, as close it is to a more just peace, preventing more territory loss, maybe even gaining back some ground. There’s that, that’s what war is like.
