You sure do assume a lot, huh? I’m not going to explain it better than the top comment of the thread already did. You should read it. You should also take some time to think about how you come across.

Holy shit I’ve been using markdown message boards for years and
you just blew my mind
Anyone so convinced of this has never been raped.
I have in fact encountered a bear in the wild, a mama bear with her cub. They weren’t interested in me, just crossing my path trying to get to the river. I stopped walking and started talking so they’d know I was there. They went on their way, I waited a little bit to make sure they weren’t coming back, and then I went on mine.
I’ve also been raped by a man I thought was my friend.
Also even for accounts that are more than six days old, that’s the beauty of the fediverse. Your instance does something you don’t like, hit the bricks.
A viewpoint from someone who would choose the bear:: I don’t think all men are by default violent sexual predators. It’s much more about the fear that we won’t be believed.
Nobody questions whether you wanted to be attacked by a bear. Nobody makes the case that the bear just made a mistake and we don’t want to ruin his future. Nobody suggests that you lead the bear on then changed your mind. It behooves us to be wary of being vulnerable with men until we have more information about the specific man we’re engaging with because of things go sideways there’s a good chance we’ll be blamed.

Was out of the loop on that so I just did the most cursory search. What do you think of this take on it?

What happened with Proton?
Yes, I switched to Proton as well and so far it’s been really painless. Proton pass in particular is amazing.
It was a little hard to pay the real value for something I’ve gotten used to being so heavily subsidized, but I just am reminding myself that it’s because they’re not making money off of my data.
What’s Ad Nauseum? What does it do and why do you like it?
Here’s my list:
I’ve been using the app for a while and had no idea it was a European app. I’m an (embarrassed by my country) American so I’m glad that I’m supporting a European company, and the businesses in my area that use it are all small local businesses.
I live in the US and honestly, I don’t think anything will remain inexpensive. Even stuff that is produced domestically will go up in price because a) the value of the dollar will contine to decrease and b) if companies can get away with increasing prices while pointing to some external excuse, they will.
Your assumption is correct, thank you, I edited :)
I had no idea that there was ever actually a moment for Esperanto that got blocked! I figured it had just been dismissed out of hand since its inception.
I hope one day you can find better friends
Keep an eye on it and ask your loved ones to keep an eye on it too. It can get much worse with age, and tends to be harder to recover from after every major episode.
Honestly I think so menu little many people would be on board with something like this since so many people speak multiple languages. Unfortunately, I can’t imagine a world where even 50% of Americans would even try to learn a second language. I think many would outright refuse as a matter of anti intellectual and xenophobic ideology.
It’s pretty clear based on this response that you don’t understand the concept, Matt.
