I think it could have been done well if it had concentrated on Buffy being married with a kid now and struggling to keep her family life separate from her slayer life. Maybe a new threat emerges and Giles comes back into her life to try to rope her into it again. Maybe she worries about her daughter being ordained to be the next slayer. Maybe auntie Willow drops by from time to time.
But I don’t think that’s the kind of thing the pilot was concentrating on. From what I had read, Buffy was a supporting character, and this reboot concentrated on a new slayer. And that sounds dull to me, so glad it was canceled.

Which means this “news story” is just marketing fluff/promotional material and not real reporting. Less and less people are going to the movies, the original Scream was a phenomenon, but somehow a poorly received seventh sequel has outdone the original financially? What a waste of print.

“Highest grossing” — adjusted for inflation? Doubtful.

The people rooting for this don’t actually read their bible. They are either the grifters in charge who don’t really believe in it, or the people who just believe whatever they are told by their religious leaders. It’s a shame that we offer free public education, but when handed a book, people prefer to just listen to their influencers rather than actually read the source material.

Everything went up months ago. I guess the media is just now catching on?

Because Xbox is dead, Microsoft got rid of its leaders, and replaced them with the former VP in charge of AI.

It’s looking for its Florsheim shoe that used to be there. It was a couple of sizes too big, so it fell off during flight.

I guess Google finally realized they don’t have to own the network connection in order to track people.

Let this be a lesson for all the other companies “turning toward AI”. This is like the dot com era all over again. Example:

If they did hear it, they’d just excuse it.

Processed foods have been around since at least the 1970s. We were eating Kraft dinner, La Choy, Doritos, canned foods, tv dinners, sugary cereals etc.

I doubt seriously that this epidemic is a fiber problem. This generation is ingesting something we shouldn’t be. I’d suspect plastics, but we’ve been eating out of Tupperware since the 1950s. Maybe PFAS? Maybe a newer plastic formulation? A more recent pesticide like Roundup? Some preservative we didn’t start using until the 1990s?
I impatiently await the scientific study that reveals the right link.

Americans continue to buy/lease giant trucks and SUVs whether they can afford them or not. Then they bitch and moan when gas prices go up like clockwork. EVs aren’t really more expensive than what the majority of Americans are currently purchasing.
In fact, people are taking out 80 month loans now, instead of buying something used and/or smaller and cheaper.

I don’t watch DIRECTV, dish, or the local news. They can fight over what’s left of satellite and cable tv all they want.

As do the Roku TCL models. I currently have mine disconnected and plan to keep it that way.

Such a great movie.
I loved these two episodes as a kid. Really appreciated how they revealed the humanity of Spock’s character at the end. As an adult, I’m even more impressed by the very clever wrapper around the pilot episode footage. Making the pilot a flashback totally works because of the different crew and costumes, and adds “weight“ to the series by giving it a back history.
