  • Oh hey, I watched this one a little while ago. I was doing something else at the time, so I’ll probably give it another watch through before I contribute to this discussion, but really the thing that saddens me the most is that with this video, personally sanctioned by Hbomberguy, it basically kills any chance of him making one. <br> All in all, not a bad April Fools video tho!

  • It doesn’t help that Bethesda NPCs have a tendancy to walk up to the player and start spouting off lines.

It’s one thing to walk through Sanctuary and hearing Marcy and Jun talking about Quincy, but it’s another thing entirely to have Marcy walk up to the player at a workbench, and then start spouting off ‘Do I look like I have time to chat?’

It would also have helped if she wasn’t so directly dismissive of the players efforts, such as insulting their settlement when realistically, they are doing the best they can.

  • I believe reddit had a system that allowed for communities to have their own tags, which i feel is a good way of crowdsourcing a system like that in it’s abscence officially, while allowing for each community to have a level of depth appropriate to it’s specific topic. Maybe I should ask around for something like that to be added to here? I know repost tags worked in a similar way on tumblr.

  • I’m sorry. I agreed from the perspective of being disturbed by watching spaces becoming increasingly closed off (Such as clasic Pixar films no longer permitting comments on YouTube), not from an angle of wanting to genuinely return to the kinds of communities that the internet used to be composed of. <br> I do agree with you on tagging, I only wished to express a desire for a larger amount of tags for disambiguity, but clearly I clearly hadn’t considered that in doing so, I was making the space unsafe for you. <br> I originally left the post untagged because I hadn’t thought too much of it, but I have now adjusted in accordance with your commentary. I am sincerely sorry for not working to accomodate your concerns. I’ll exercise more caution in future and hope that this hasn’t too harshly soured your perspective on what is, from what I can see as a visitor, a generally pleasant community.
