Bad actors are sowing distrust by implying that Signal is not secure. Always remember that the powers that be don’t want the public to have encrypted comms and would love to ban private messaging apps altogether. I could also be completely wrong and Signal is in fact a fed honeypot…
The code is open-source though, and I’m hoping that individuals more learned than I would surely alert us if there were any backdoors/exploits…
Tanks and fighter jets are becoming less relevant. The war in Ukraine underlines how drones are changing everything. They’re cheaper to manufacture (or buy/retrofit) and just about everybody can make or reverse-engineer them.
The barrier to entry is so low in fact that I worry about the day when terrorist groups begin to deploy them in major cities.

Windows bloat sucks. I wish Microsoft gave you the option to just install the components/features you’re likely to use. That way you could have an agile, minimal custom installation like you do in Arch.
Good article. I use Brave on desktop and android. I like that the adblocking is baked in. I still have to add my favourite addons but that’s the beauty of personalization.
Quick question: is the Tor browsing functionality in Brave adequate or should I just stick to the official Tor browser in that regard?
