I’ll keep it short: 3 things

• Everything is normal, don’t freak out take a breath and be logical. Otherwise you’ll just work yourself up and the kid can tell and match. Not a great place to be in.
• Read to them, sing with them, point and explain, freely offer info. If you treat them like they’re a bit older and can absorb things, it’s actually surprising how much will rub off.
• MOST importantly, Take care of yourself. Seriously, It’s the whole “put the mask on yourself before helping others” idea. If you’re tired, frazzled, and health is declining, you can’t provide the support and clear, frustration free thinking you need as a parent.

I run it in a container on Kubernetes. Definitely recommend.

The company I work for is currently developing an AI based system to “read” legal documents and boil them down to a few pieces of info to shove in a spreadsheet. One of the people I work with has to make a system that tests the quality of that AI. So far he’s found that to be an impossible task because the info he’d check it against, that in which humans did the same task, is also super fallible and basically he’s found that they both suck in different ways.

Which means the AI is just being used because no one can say its wrong, since no one can say its definitively right either… but it’s cheaper.

I mean, we did train it with data from the internet and books and history and everything else we could throw at it… This is like Leeloo in The Fifth Element learning all of the language and discovering “War”. If it really was AGI, theres no way you could be forced to consume all of that and come away “fine”.

Well, it definitely wasn’t about the friends we made along the way. We’re actively trying to backstab each and every one.

Honestly, it’s mostly the returns process that I feel make Amazon a better place for “direct from china” stuff. I do a lot of electronics hobby work and I can buy the same part from Amazon, Ali Express, or direct from fly by night companies in China. The latter two are generally cheaper, but the quality tends to be more questionable at times and I can’t really “return it for my money back” like Amazon.
