v1.9.13 fix PieFed
PieFed was broken if you
- Block a person
- Block a community
- Moderate a community
That has all been fixes in v1.9.13
Next up!
- Here’s an early preview of the search overhaul I’m working on
- https://search-overhaul.blorp.pages.dev/
- What do you think of the keyboard shortcuts (only on larger screens)
- Make Blorp more accesible
- https://speed-run-accessibility.blorp.pages.dev/
- These changes will be pretty invisible if you don’t use a screen reader
Give those a try, and let me know if you like seeing early previews like that.
I’m trying to formulate a long term plan
- Lemmy V1 is going to ship later this year. I suspect a lot of clients that aren’t maintained are going to break. I would like to get Blorp to a place where I can be a home for all those new users.
- Anyone here who’s first language isn’t English? Interested in Blorp being translated into your language?
- I have no idea how to market this app. I’m estimating I may have 400ish users. I honestly have no idea. Could be much higher or much lower. My marketing mostly consists of me annoying people on Lemmy into using Blorp. At least that’s how I percieve it, and I cring a little at myself.
- I have no idea how to build out a team, but if you have any skills that you feel could contriute to this project, please don’t be shy. I would like Blorp to be bigge than myself.

You’re the one fixing the bugs, I’m just using the app
If you implement the turning of features thing maybe implement it so it works both ways, so piefed specific features could be added to Blorp sometime in the future
I’ll do that tomorrow (or whenever that is in your timezone). blorpblorp.xyz has the latest version right (not TestFlight)?
I just pushed 1.9.20 eveywhere. TestFlight lags a little behind (maybe a few hours) and App Store a little behind that (maybe a day or two). Play Store is much faster. F-Droid takes 3-6 days.
I’m hesistatnt to rush anything out the door that could break other things. Turning off features based on PieFed or Lemmy has to happen soon. Maybe in the next few weeks. For now, the name of the game is stability.
Software teams don’t really work without QA and a product manager. I’ve had to do everything myself for awhile, but your QA work recently has really freed me up to just write code. Give yourself more credit!
