Senator Robin Padilla on Thursday clarified that he did not extend his middle finger while singing the national anthem during Monday’s Senate plenary session.

I’m not going to pretend that I knew it was a Muslim gesture all along, but at the same time I didn’t buy the social media narrative portraying it as a middle finger either. The pic was blurrier than Big Foot not to mention it doesn’t make sense for someone (who has no history of disrespecting the national anthem) to be flashing that all of a sudden.
