Hmmm, I wonder if there are any historical examples of countries with universal free education to the highest level that we could take inspiration from…
No, no, we shoukd just use it as an excuse to give trans people zero options.
And increase the price 500%
Edit: the price increase for everyone; no transphobia in that; make it an administrative fee for excluding trans people.
I’m assuming this is sarcasm, but could you confirm?
Well now I can’t ever tell you.
I’m just asking because you’re sarcastically being an ass, and real asses point to people sarcastically acting like them as proof to their new recruits that this is normal behavior. I’m just looking to clarify that this is sarcasm for that reason.
You’ve been officially demoted to chucklevassal, I’m sorry.
Nah, understanding how people use humor for evil doesn’t mean I lose my title. Besides, only Golb can remove my title.
Its definitely sarcasm.
This one has always been easy for me because I don’t value sports entertainment.
i’m torn because i am generally for whatever gets someone an education. if they’re good at sports and that lets them pay for college, fantastic. should we offer the same support to everyone in the system? absolutely. but i don’t like kicking the supports out from people who might need them.

Because sports is also a skill that we want some people to develop? Including sports that aren’t profitable?
I also hate that sports has turned into profit centers for colleges, but I’m happy when profit from some sports supports unprofitable choices.
The university I went to is known for the breadth of its sports program in addition to being one of the top academic schools. I’ve never participated in or even watched most of them, but I’m happy they were there. We not only develop top scientists and tech people but top people in archery or rowing or water polo or whatever arbitrary sport. That’s a good thing
